On the Pride of America you cannot punch a hole in the keycard without making it so the card will not work. The ship sells lanyards sometimes but they are not the best. Here is one we recommend to get before the cruise.
A lot of cruisers have CPAP Machines and there are no outlets close to the beds on the Pride Of America. Make sure to bring your own 20ft cord so you can reach and still have room to move the cord around the bed.

Pride of America Crew members and Cruisers make good use of magnet hooks during there time on the ship.
I cannot stress enough how much this can save you whether your luggage gets lost by the airline or delivered to the wrong stateroom. This will help you make sure you get your luggage every step of the way.
All tours run even if it rains! Do not be afraid of the rain for pay for the expensive cheap made ponchos on the ship as it will add up quickly. Its Hawaii and it will rain during your trip. Be ready with these Ponchos.
Sometimes because its an older ship the A/C does not work great. Bring a small fan that really works well and is easy to pack.
Get motion sickness patches or pills. Sometimes the water can be rough or if you plan on doing excursions line Road to Hana. You do not want to be sea sick on a cruise.
Show your excited about the cruise with magnetic door decorations. It does help make it easier to find your cabin door after a couple drinks!
Make sure to bring Reef Safe Sunscreen. Most tour operators require it for anything water related like snorkeling.

Cruise Cabin Bathrooms are small and the fans aren't that powerful, room deodorizer will be very helpful and is a great courtesy to your room companion. The cruise air freshener tends not to be the best smelling.
Newer Ships now have small bedside lights, but that bathroom Light can be super bright at 3am. Hang a night light on the wall outside the bathroom door on a magnetic hook to keep things dim but lit
These can be found on Amazon, they're great for keeping your dirty laundry up off the floor and organized. They Lay flat and weigh little to nothing so an easy packable item, bring one for each traveler.
Travel irons are not allowed on cruise ships. The next best thing is Downy Wrinkle Release Spray. There is an ironing room available on almost every deck of the ship if you do need an iron, however, this spray can be a quick alternative to having to step out of your cabin. Static Cling spray also helps with static in clothes and helps release wrinkles as well.
Long Plane rides or those early morning red-eye flights can leave you feeling like you should take a little snooze on your way to your destination. The neck roll can be used around your neck, propped on your shoulder for you to lean against the plane, and help keep you from snuggling with the center seat occupant.
